Good point. For some reason I never put it on my new phone.
8/20/15 room to breathe
Neither of those live at murat shows was really a top tier show BUT both nights had a lot of fantastic stuff and the song selection is so good. Would love to get an expanded vinyl live at murat release.
The Kitchen is for me of the handful of greatest versions ever, the acoustic improv is so beautiful and pastoral. The Roulette from that show was also a really unique version with a short piano-driven jam.
4/7/07 Hurt Bird Bath is an all timer. Just another one of KB’s goofs to leave that off the release. That second jam has that classic silky flawless Jake peak where he could do no wrong.
Liquid > Moccasins, Padgett’s and Jajunk are also great from that show.
1/4/07 Dump City
After a fun → segue into Dump out of Bloody Well Right, we get to some evil dance improv very quickly. Kind of a short but intense jam in the vein of the 2/21/07 Synco. Then there’s a cool-down dubby section with some Wormbog and Dump City teases before they ultimately leave DC unfinished and segue to Wormbog. This whole show is so loose, it may have been a songlist show IIRC.
I love that Dump City, the Kabump from that show also has a great little jam. That was such a fun Jam Cruise, we had a huge group of like 30 borters on there. The good ole days!
10/25/08 Wappy. Sounds very bisco-like in several sections, starting at around the 5:05 mark. Very much worth checking out!
1/20/12 Conduit. Idk how this never became a RS or at least a piece of a song. Proverbial vibes in parts, 3-4 different composed sections that all felt pretty fleshed out and purposeful. Super cool jam I randomly listened to yesterday for the first time in a couple years. Before covid I brought it up to Joel on Twitter and he said he’d listen back to it to see if there was any insight he could provide but he never did. What a jerk.
Is this the last version of the old composition? Where they go Wappy > jam > new song? Or an early version of the jam inserted in the middle?
No, this one is Wappy → jam → Wappy Ending, but they > right into Snucka (Part III) right after
1/21/2022 Prowler
Wappy 4/30/22. 420 Fest, No Jake. Bayliss just having his way with the improv section.
This show was so bad.
The show can be bad but this Wappy ain’t
I vividly remember you hyping up this Wappy in the moment
Lol really? Not saying that didnt happen, but I dont remember it at all.
