Care to elaborate? I missed this. Used to live in kzoo and saw plenty shoes there where Larry would demand to play drums for the encore. Guy had a serious ego problem. Curious what Joel said…

Yeah if I were in a band and a brewery owner demanded to sit in on the drums I’d be like “Okay, but I get to stir the next batch of Two Hearted with my penis…”
Pretty sure The Hive in Sandpoint has an owner that demands to sit-in. He’s sat-in for on percussion 3/4 shows there.
You are correct on this. At least the 2nd time he did the band didn’t bother to announce it, and the peak was good.
the 'ol jeremy piven sit-in technique
if my memory serves correctly, piven wasn’t introduced for the irving plaza sit in in 2004
EDIT: no, after the tune, they did acknowledge piven. my memory DIDN’T serve.
I was only there in '16 but nobody seemed too happy about him coming out, especially Andy.
8/25/06 Mail Package with Wooten there is no introduction
hard not to immediately listen to that second set when ut gets mentioned.
That show will forever be one of my all time favorite UM memories
just found this golden comment on the nugs lmao

Phab4 sounds like a prude.
I do remember there been some super shady folks at that festival, so not shocking.
I took the best acid of my life that night. I was convinced Bill Nershi was eyeing me down to punch me in the face during the Honkeytalk Homeslice set before UM. Also remember telling my buddy Jake’s fingers had lasers coming out of them.
Here is the picture my buddy made me to take with Nershi in order to convince me he didn’t want to fight me.
hahaha he definitely wants to punch ya
Oh to be 18 again

Omg 10/11/2008 Eat. It’s so intense and suspenseful and constantly building. Scaryyyy
listen with headphones
Love this Eat! Decent August the night before as well.
MFF 4-10-15. Not the longest but the second jam peaks so hard and is still one of my favorite UM moments.
*That run was a lot fun, especially with the Moo’s playing in an Elks lodge right across the parking lot after the show.
Speaking of MFF, two other great ones are Des Moines 2013 (7/2/13 I think) and Holidaze 2012. Very unique jams
