Jamband Cringe Thread

What does this mean? You’ve used “based” multiple times and it never clicks for me

Pretty cringe thing to say bro.

So, in internet slang, there’s cringe which has just become a word for embarrassing from afar. But if the subject doesn’t care whether or not you think it’s embarrassing, then it’s based.

Example: some people find goose fans to be cringe. The fans that don’t care and continue to turn out despite everything else, that’s considered “based”.

Uhhh, oh okay.

I’d say it’s more of us trying to explain a good show from a musical and not experiential point of view.

Tells us you had a great time in Detroit, don’t tell us the band was on :fire:

The term “standard good” used to be used here a lot for a show like Detroit. Nice song selection, a little improv, but nothing nearing “en fuego”.

I did a quick search on Standard Good and Standard Great with both returning results but Standard Great seemed to appear more often in the right context. Probably confirmation bias at play brah.

Never seen em play Standard Great, is that one of those tunes that evolved from a 90 minute Stewart at 4bpm back in 1994 Hampton colosseum?

I think “standard ok” is way more accurate than “standard great” or even “standard good”
