Been a tough week, my soccer team shit the bed in a historically bad way at the World Cup and my favorite band is dead.
Anyone still want to come to Milwaukee for UMbowl and do drugs with this non band member invite is still open. It’s in my contract to only do drugs with fans of any band.

The sets since Jake has been out have not looked very inspiring to me. A lot of really good songs missing. I’m sure I can go enjoy a show with this lineup but there’s just too much juice missing for it to get me really excited about them again. I’ll be fascinated to see where they are at in a couple of years. Gotta imagine this does nothing to help the attendance downturn of recent years.

Yeah when the band hit, they really fucking hit. I feel the mid-2010s was the last time you could be confident they were going to throw down. And it was a relatively slow decline after that. By the time COVID hit, I felt like I was just going to shows out of habit. But damn did I see some great shows in the 2007-2016 range.
That said I did really enjoy the Jake-less show in Menlo Park back in March.

I saw Jakeless show in Montana & Cinninger/Ponce in MI. Had a great time at both. Got to experience my fav. guitarist Jake front row w/minimal competition & also the remnants of UM which was actually pretty enjoyable.
