Is Concessions UM’s best album?

I recently listened to this album all the way thru and was just blown away. When it first was released I didn’t listen immediately because as most of us here, we’ve heard it over the years, but for these JS’s to get the studio treatment and lego’d into songs is pretty sweet. And being Myer’s final album is quite something. Seen 2 Scotty shows and I had an incredible time, just different seasons of UM

Did you mean the album Blueprints or the song Concessions?

Haha, nice catch! Yes I meant Blueprints and while typing that I was listening to the final track on the album, Con. part 3, imho one of the greatest pieces of music these ears have ever heard

What I really, really want is a non-lego version of this album. Splitting up the tracks like that was fucking stupid.

I am a big fan. Hope to catch Wide Open, Concessions and Unevolved in ATL in a few weeks…

Best album? No

Better than what they have released in the last decade? Yes

Totally agree. LBDO & Anchor Drops are my personal favorites.

Same, but SiN and Mantis are also terrific with the latter probably their most cohesive out of their catalog.

I’m a sucker for DBS or maybe it’s just the jams those songs have produced.

I enjoy DBS as well. Mantis and Similar Skin are also outstanding

I am shocked no one has clowned on this hard yet.

But I do love Out of Focus

Me too! Don’t resist the bait, it’s right there for the taking

I think it’s their best since Mantis but im not prepared to give it more of a superlative than that.

Might be their best ever honestly

We have yet to ever witness their best

I’ve actually moved on to that Walking up shaking in boots album. I know an opener album is a bit corny but I’m enjoying the hell out of it

Concessions is the worst song on the album IMO. The end is too damn corny for its own good and does not compare to the eliteness of the Silent Type jam from whence it came.

Wide Open > Exit Sings on the other hand rips.
