Basketball doesnt even matter in the south, but when an SEC football team sucks, their fans love convincing themselves that their basketball team has a chance. Baseball is the last ditch effort. Then it’s back to broken dreams again in the fall once Vanderbilt or Memphis or some other bullshit team fucks you over.
