Has UM's popularity declined?

Not amongst the men

I’m wondering what the room will be like at the Bethlehem show. It’s on a Sunday after DCx2>Philly. I think a small venue would be light. This room holds like 3800 in GA alone. I wonder if they can move the stage like the Anthem and other venues.

Maybe they’ll let me bring in a folding chair then.

It’s gunna be vastly undersold. My “wife” is from Bethlehem and that venue is a (smaller) casino that’s changed hands a few times. Not a whole bunch going on for a Sunday night there, the only thing that would bring people in would be Lehigh University or the actual city of Allentown which is about a 30 minute drive give or take.

My guess is it’s basically all tour people at that show with a small smattering of locals. Trying to get my in-laws to go in lieu of us being able to make it as we moved this summer

Fun read. I’m not defending stasik, but as someone who gave a lot to our community over the years, I have sympathy for the idea that anyone in his position might come off as weird/offensive. I remember when the community was super small and they just wanted to put on a fun show for the 50-100 people who showed up. Over the years I noticed this group of die hards would pull at every one of them and that’s when they started to separate/isolate away from the fans. I respect it. I don’t like political garbage at our shows, tone deaf is accurate. Not defending dude, trying to offend people is a lame position for a jam concert, a community that supported the band. Save that shit for the Charleston circle at home. But I don’t harbor anger towards any of them for it. I think they’ve dealt w a lot of unnecessary pressure. I go for the music, not their IG politics. I hope they all find peace and joy. As well as all of you. Btw all bands ticket sales have declined, big venues take in smaller acts to keep these venues afloat. I too hope they play the SF Fillmore/GAMH. Take care of yourselves. Hope we all get bigger jams at our next shows.

Wow, seems like tickets for his your have been tough to get,.not that I have any desire to see him.

tickets are hard to get because re-sellers are dominating on-sales

the secondary market is absolutely flooded from the week of the show. you can’t give tickets away.

I also think for a while Billy was playing smaller venues than his fanbase. In some markets that seems to have caught up now.
