Dopapod

Yeah, at what point does touring the country and playing small venues get in the way of providing for yourself + your family. Im curious what these musicians do for work after the tour life. Lessons?

that, or maybe create a studio space where they can become a producer

Compa was already doing that between tours. He’ll probably have to bump it up to 70 hour weeks to keep the lights on.

I do. Is that show still happening? Primus is in St. Louis that day. No way i drive to see dopapod over Primus

yeah, they added a stretch after that original tour too.

Nice. Ill try to hit StL if schedule allows

Who you talking to here?

Surprised (but happy) they’re hitting up Pioneertown again. I was 1 of maybe 40 people at that show in '21 (not counting the randos just getting food with their family who likely didn’t buy a ticket). Cool venue and a cool town (former movie set from the 50s) but it’s the middle of nowhere and cell service drops out like 10mi out of town.

But yah this sucks, losing Aqueous and Dopapod means 2/3rds of my fav jam bands are gone :frowning:

I took a buddy to Goose when they were here in StL. Back in the day we used to hit tons of jamband shows together, but he’d been out of that music scene for a long time. He was kinda meh on Goose, but enjoyed being at a jamband show for the first time in many years.

He asked who was the new hotness in the scene since he stopped paying attention. I gave him a bunch of bands to look into, but he surprised me when he texted me a few days later that he was OBSESSED with Dopapod.

He’s gutted by the news and hitting at least 5 of the shows before the end of the year. Wild stuff.

Who do you think the 3rd band is?!?

My buddy is hitting 8 shows. That’s… a lot.

Maybe not for a while, but they’ll be back. And I expect Eli to have an awesome project…maybe just more Octave Cat shows, maybe something new.
