Excellent point since there are like a dozen or so actual artists that write the majority of country and pop songs.
That’s part of reason I don’t mind Old Dominion, they write and play instruments. I’d venture to guess that as a songwriting team, they probably have more hits with other artists performing, than they do themselves as a band.
