Yes, they are. I love being able to strictly watch what he does during songs, some of his fills are so ridiculously good and seeing them in action makes me appreciate them that much more.

Breckenridge Brewery is a joke anyway. They sold out to AB InBev (Budweiser) years ago and are no longer an independent brewery. But, Stasik does love his Budweiser, so I’m not surprised.

The sound was fucking brutal for Bayliss’ stream last night, sounded like he was playing in a tin can. I’ve had the same thing happen to myself not too long ago when I tried a FB livestream on my gf’s macbook. Using my phone instead solved it, so I think it has to do with noise cancellation/audio settings on the computer’s webcam that for whatever reason phones don’t have. Someone said it was a FB limiter but I doubt it, I’ve seen friends produce great quality FB streams. I’d like to find out though, because I’ve been live streaming acoustic sets and it pretty much ruins the whole thing if it happens. BB didn’t have time to fix it last night, but hopefully he can straighten it out for the next one.
I would like to add that we aren’t on FB or Insta.
I realize we’re in the minority here & it is our own decision, therefore nobody to blame but ourselves. However, despite being interested in joining the streams at times, we’re def not making accounts on either social network simply to watch these.

Dudes the stream was terrible because BRB was zooming bayliss and then casting the zoom screen. You could see them resize the screen at one point. Fucking terrible. Get good

Potential controversial statement: Joel’s streams show that he really only uses 20% of his talent, at best, in Umphrey’s. Which makes sense when you’re in a band with Jake, Bayliss, and Kris, but it is still super impressive to see him up the ante on these every week.

I haven’t watched any of his streams but I’d probably agree. Joel’s best stuff is piano/rhodes based, and those are the two instruments he touches the least. He’s a decent lead synth/moog player but he’s on it for a significant amount of UM improv
