Hope to hear good things about this Plunger!
Did plunger open, just tuning in now
Plunger and example 1? Anything else?
A common theme this weekend has been a lot of segues
They just showed Jake’s set list. I’m pretty sure this is a song list show. It showed all their songs with originals watermarked across it.
Lol just saw the leader of the raptors. Sultan? Jesus Christ does he only own that wook rug purple cape?
I’m sure it smells wonderful.
Definitely thinking this is a song list show as well
The real question is, are the jams there? Seems fun and digging all the >.
This jam was tight in the day/night nurse. I can never remember which one it is
I hate Higgins, but this yam is toight
With a side of nose beers?
I thought all the jams in set 1 were solid, funky 1348 was fun as well as the Higgins
Didn’t stop all first set. I thought the 1348 and Night Nurse were the highlights.
And no stream issues. Shhhh.
Great first set
Contrarian theory: They also showed Kris’ setlist at one point, and I could clearly see “Plunger” marked in the usual spot where it would be. Guess we will find out.
I really appreciate the emphasis on segues this weekend. I also appreciate the good jamming. Nothing in that set completely shook my world (though the beautiful Night Nurse came close), but solid grooves, peaks, segues, and playing throughout and I’m pretty happy.
I thought they stopped after it doesn’t matter for a sec
To be completely fair, I will have to actually relisten to Maybe Someday > Night Nurse to see if that counts as a segue or not. Joel started playing Night Nurse pretty instantly, but a second of pause is a second of pause. In the meantime, since if they didn’t do it they came REALLY close, it’s fun to call it a stopless set
Generally I agree with you. Scott Marks and I argue over this all the time, as I find he is quite liberal with his use of > during Phish shows. But this was really quite close . . . Close enough to bicker over, rather than a pause and huddle sort of thing.
They opened the second set with a stew?
