Nugs put out the live versions of all the stews within Blueprints.
edit: I am indeed slow
Exit Signs ending (LEGO 3) is the best vocals Iāve ever heard from BB, such an ear worm
Why does ETI deviate so much from the original song?
Not a huge deal, it seems to be the trend across the board. But is it the norm to not include digital downloads anymore with records?
I woulda liked a digital copy of Blueprints, might just record my own from the record.
I noticed the past 2 Billy strings albums didnāt come with them either.
I actually prefer LEGO 1 but I love this tune, crushes. Canāt believe it took like 16 yrs for 2/24/06 Visions to become a song
Got my copy in the mail today. Records sound great. Album is crazy good, epic!
All physical purchases should come with a digital download. If artists donāt want physical to die then they need that as a value add.
I didnāt download a ton of mine until recently, I do wonder how many people actually utilize their download cards. Lack of interest might be why less records come with download cards these days.
Iām debating cutting all streaming besides nugs, so Iāve been building my digital library again. Itās been satisfying so far using my owned music again. Itās a bit absurd how many UMLive shows Iāve purchased over the years lol.
When headphones and snowcones was a regular thing Iād do it for every show, and then you get the download codes. But the code was good for anything, so Iād usually use it on HOF releases unless that show was particularly noteworthy.
but in terms of physical vs digital across the entire spectrum of entertainment Iāve gone waaay harder into physical in the last year. After getting a PS5 I got into 4K collecting in a similar way that I got into DVD collecting back as a preteen when Iād get a weekly mailer from circuit city with their deals and buy discs that were full screen because the TV in my room was a letterbox ratio.
I think thereās a big push towards physical media and pirated content in the last year purely because of the enshitification of media and streaming.
Love ownership of the show I went to. Theres something there that reminds me of the reason I travel to see 'em. The UMLives were huge for me back in the day, now that those codes are worthless it makes the point hit home even more. Ownership over streaming, especially since nugs puts a limit on how much you can download
Just got album todayā¦thank god it didnāt down pour dam mail mail leaving things not under the front porchā¦.fucking great on vinylā¦
So, the real argument is what would be aāsingleā off thisā¦my vote is Exit Signsā¦
So what do the liner notes say regarding personnel?
Thanks, but it doesnāt list the band or performers?
Unless I missed something thatās that
This album sounds really good on vinyl. Even better when listening through headphones. They were able to achieve a pretty large soundstage and thereās good balance between the instruments. There are a couple of times when they go for it Iām getting just a slight bit of distortion in the tracks, mainly Jakes guitar and Krisā drums. I donāt think Iāve been able to hear Andyās and Joelās parts so well though. The separation of Jake and Brendanās guitars are perfect and you can really hear the nuances of their parts and how they compliment each other. A lot of 2-guitar bands just sound muddy to me, but this doesnāt and itās a really fun listen with headphones.
got an email saying that the vinyl is back in stock on UMās store. good for them that they sold that initial quantity out
