Exit Signs ending (LEGO 3) is the best vocals I’ve ever heard from BB, such an ear worm

Why does ETI deviate so much from the original song?

Not a huge deal, it seems to be the trend across the board. But is it the norm to not include digital downloads anymore with records?

I woulda liked a digital copy of Blueprints, might just record my own from the record.

I noticed the past 2 Billy strings albums didn’t come with them either.

I actually prefer LEGO 1 but I love this tune, crushes. Can’t believe it took like 16 yrs for 2/24/06 Visions to become a song

All physical purchases should come with a digital download. If artists don’t want physical to die then they need that as a value add.

I didn’t download a ton of mine until recently, I do wonder how many people actually utilize their download cards. Lack of interest might be why less records come with download cards these days.

I’m debating cutting all streaming besides nugs, so I’ve been building my digital library again. It’s been satisfying so far using my owned music again. It’s a bit absurd how many UMLive shows I’ve purchased over the years lol.

When headphones and snowcones was a regular thing I’d do it for every show, and then you get the download codes. But the code was good for anything, so I’d usually use it on HOF releases unless that show was particularly noteworthy.

but in terms of physical vs digital across the entire spectrum of entertainment I’ve gone waaay harder into physical in the last year. After getting a PS5 I got into 4K collecting in a similar way that I got into DVD collecting back as a preteen when I’d get a weekly mailer from circuit city with their deals and buy discs that were full screen because the TV in my room was a letterbox ratio.

I think there’s a big push towards physical media and pirated content in the last year purely because of the enshitification of media and streaming.

Love ownership of the show I went to. Theres something there that reminds me of the reason I travel to see 'em. The UMLives were huge for me back in the day, now that those codes are worthless it makes the point hit home even more. Ownership over streaming, especially since nugs puts a limit on how much you can download

So, the real argument is what would be aā€singleā€ off this…my vote is Exit Signs…

So what do the liner notes say regarding personnel?

Thanks, but it doesn’t list the band or performers?

Unless I missed something that’s that

This album sounds really good on vinyl. Even better when listening through headphones. They were able to achieve a pretty large soundstage and there’s good balance between the instruments. There are a couple of times when they go for it I’m getting just a slight bit of distortion in the tracks, mainly Jakes guitar and Kris’ drums. I don’t think I’ve been able to hear Andy’s and Joel’s parts so well though. The separation of Jake and Brendan’s guitars are perfect and you can really hear the nuances of their parts and how they compliment each other. A lot of 2-guitar bands just sound muddy to me, but this doesn’t and it’s a really fun listen with headphones.
