Blueprints - 2025 New Album

Tbh i’ve been a pretty big raw stewage hater basically since they started appearing more regularly in setlists. The songs themselves just don’t really do it for, so definitely not a surprise

I haven’t listened to it in full yet but the format kind of turns me off. I mostly enjoy live UM, particularly since they have been playing their older material more frequently. Improv has also been less rushed, more patient, which allows for more texture and build instead of a race to the end like it had become with Kris.

Just put the album on and don’t look at the tracks/timing, you won’t even notice the gaps.

My goat.

I’ve never loved raw stewage in general because the finished product just sounds like a neutered version of a jam I liked. It’s always a letdown and only serves to make me dig up the original.

So, my drive went a little off schedule & I was only able to get through everything up to Den, and have yet to be able to soak in Concessions yet. My initial thoughts on the other tracks is mostly positive. I certainly enjoyed it more than AFAF and the It’s Not Us/You releases, FWIW.

I do agree with @opsopcopolis with regards to the raw sewage songs feeling a little less than cohesive at times, and I also am not a huge fan of the tracks being broken up into LEGO pieces, but certainly understand the band’s thoughts on this for fans who are yet to be familiarized with the process. I think it would be a wise option to ~also~ offer an option to have it as 6 tracks vs 24.

Reason why I’m looking forward in getting the vinyl.

I do hope they’ll eventually release them as single tracks on streaming after the initial release has died down. I’m assuming 24 “songs” vs. 6 long ones was better for stream counts, although I doubt they’re making anything significant from streaming.

While I don’t doubt that the stream count part could certainly factor into the decision, I also can see their point of it being the first release comprised entirely of Raw Stewage Lego “builds”. Regardless, they should offer both options.

I did like that on Spotify the little animation things for each Lego highlights the date of the original jam, that’s a nice touch

Oh nice that’s cool, was going to go in and add that to the tracks on my copy

Should have been its own 30-second lego - just so I don’t have to listen to it again.

Incredible album. Unevolved and exit signs heard for the first time listening to it and are tremendous songs. Feel like there 2 of my favorite all time um songs already. The vocals are amazing. Concessions is great of course, saw that live. With several masterpieces on there it’s hand down there best album.
