thunderstruck encore on 9/1/19 was an epic way to end a show with lots of 3 minute jams
Opener: 9/27/06 Resolution
That was sick!
9/6/11 BLBC opener.
Just listened. That was quite the fucking dance party. And the Ringo that followed was perfect.
My vote for best opener would be from this date 17 years ago. Just a f’n beast of an August.
3/22/07 JO > Great American is my fav opener seen.
Dump 7-7-18. Just a personal favorite.
Best two encores I’ve seen were
11/2/11 BLBC
7/30/10 AIT > Hangover, Wappy > AIT
Feel like I haven’t seen many great openers, but these come to mind:
4/10/09 Wappy
9/14/12 AIT
2/6/14 Phil’s
10/29/14 Robot
11/1/14 encore was fun. Release > Fussy > Gulf Stream
Fussy is a great encore song
SUAR
3/4/17 - AIT is a personal favorite. Always fluff this one up as an underrated jam with 3 distinct sections. Not the longest jam but a great start to the show IMO
Can’t believe I forgot this one. Def the best encore I’ve seen but it’s almost cheating since they did long encores during that entire run
7-21-17 AiT was a really solid start to a show that got rained out.
Yep
I’m terms of openers seen in recent memory, 10/13/18 Attachments stands out.
10.7.09 Example 1 was a sick opener.
I like that song as an opener.
My first show 4/13/08 opened with a 20+ min HBB. That was a pretty good way to hook me right away.
