This and the previous one are from records I bought a few months ago. Love them both.
I played my records pitched all the way down last night. No mixing. Just complete songs pitched down. Most of them sounded way better. Only exceptions were tracks that at normal speed had vocal samples pitched down in the mastering. It just ends up being a little too much. But everything else was awesome. Your boy is going to be hovering in the 110-120 space for a while. I might need to record a session soon.
Iāve been tuning into the Desert Hearts streams every now and then. I really like those guys. Their music is cool but I really like their inclusive vibe.
parties are pretty fun but sometimes their sets are a little chadāy for me at times. Also Iāve done nose beers with the old one, Lee Reynolds when he was in Austin. It was like doing drugs with akm grandpa haha. Cool guy though. w. X-men I a I
Lee and some others that frequent that label have played in St Pete. I skipped them. Mostly because I donāt like the venue and promotors involved.
I heard people had a blast at Leeās set. What I sampled on soundcloud didnāt really scratch the itch for me, but I just have different tastes.
Donāt let me poo poo on anyoneās joy. I hate almost everything.
Was definitely about the atmosphere more than the tunes every time Iāve seen them.
thanks bruv. Needed those. Musics been helping a bunch. I got my dj set up gong again at my house so Iāll be making mixes left and right now.
Set up from this weekend. Definitely need to work on my beat matching but it was a good time!
Get some turntables. Thatāll learn ya.
That was deff the one thing I realized as the night went on. The jog wheels didnt really make the track go faster or slower no matter if the BPM matched. Also having the track cue was never set on first beat where it should have been. IDK Im sure you can get things set differently in traktor but yeah. WHATEVER, ASS!!!
Iām pretty bad on turntables but whenever I touch a controller it feels so fucking easy now. Iām just glad I forced myself to learn how to beat match by ear, even though Iām not very good at it. Maybe one day I will be. Really wish I had started with turntablesā¦
Probably check some of this out today. Mike Dunn is great except when he plays some of the cheese he released through Defected.
I listen to close to ZERO electronic music but this kid was one of my best friends back in elementary school. I enjoy watching him living his dream.
@ass The Chosen Few are chicago legends. They play sets all over the city. I used to watch them perform in the loop on my lunch breaks.
@PEN1S_ISLAND got one for ya, bruv
I havenāt heard the first one but the others are dnb staples. LK is probably my favorite dnb tune of all time. So buttery.
Iām gonna work on getting a liquid/soulful mix soon. Been all about that shit lately. Had to put the techno down for a little.
@UncleDutchman That Mik jawn is the shit I likeeeeeee. The other two a little too houseāy for my liking but the morgasm song slaps hard. Thats more of an @ass release.
Are you preparing sets in advance?
