2026/10/02 - Brooklyn Bowl - Nashville, TN

Show is great so far. Sparse crowd for sure but they’re bringing it. BB is tearing it up.

What ever happened to Budney?

don’t listen to him, he’s bro-ing out hard right now to this Haji

Whoever is doing lights is gravely more offensive than house lights

Feels like 1980 but if you are bitching about lights you aren’t there for the music.

At this point, I’d kill for a UM show with a few hundred people and shitty lights.

Nice, love a little Steely Dan. UM covers them so well.

Nice segue into The Floor. Great song selection tonight. And as much as we like to rag on IG Stasik, he has really stepped up over the last decade or so with his playing, like the “most improved” during this timeframe.

How late can they play at this venue?

I’ve been hearing people say that Stasik is the most improved member of the band since way back in 2001. Some things never change, I guess.

All In Time was by far the highlight of this show. Most involved Farag has been in a jam in a long time and it’s to the good. FIERCE dance party. Escape Goat was decent but also kinda just attempting to redo what happened in AIT and meeting with a bit less success.

Sim Skin was my 2nd favorite of the night. It’s a little rushed, but I also can’t blame Bayliss too much for taking off and running with a gold uplifting melody as soon as he finds it. Blissful.

The rest of the show is fine but nothing too special. The amateur lights and sub-500 crowd didn’t help. It was nice to see a more intimate show but you could tell the band was a little flat, especially in 2nd set during the sadly go-nowhere DBK.

Cliffs notes: Everyone needs to hear AIT as soon as it goes on nugs, check Sim Skin and maybe Goat if you have time, the rest meh.

Maybe it’s just the mix or his pedal board, but he definitely seems to have caught up to the rest of the band in the last decade.

Allegedly Sweet Lou tore his Achilles and is on the mend right now. House LDs for now from my understanding.

Hopefully he’s back for UMBowl or they get a substitute LD lined up.

Get Factor on a flight to Nashville ASAP! Kidding, but the lights definitely made for a weird vibe last night.

You’d think if they were playing to 200 people with house lights they’d at least play some hard to catch stuff. Did enjoy Wappy > Skin opener but was more so just a depressing show imo

anyone have pics from last night? I’m struggling to fathom why lights matter this much to create negative reviews lol. Lights are so far down the list of things I care about at UM shows, its like you guys are all circa 2014 fans who love the song Little Gift and are just there for the aborted jams and rawk peaks
