…? huh. That’s interesting. Besides Snucka Pt III or the occasional finishing a song from the night before, when else has the band ever done this?

Wasn’t there a Much Obliged ending they did during a Ringo before, or just a MO jam?

Up on Nugs BTW.

Puppet with no jam makes me want to barf

Last night was pretty great. I haven’t had the chance to see UM much since moving from the NYC area to Savannah. Between that and other commitments, I haven’t even listened to them much. So that’s my huge grain of salt, but they were really tight and on point pretty much all night. Staircase had two distinct improv sections that were both cool and peaky. Domino, CWII, & PS, all had great jams. Porch was a little short but had some fun stuff in there.

But the crowd, while appreciative, was small. I doubt it was half full. This is depressing, especially since I can’t really travel much. Last time they were here they created a good bit of buzz. But they didn’t come back for 2 years, and it showed. Some people left at half time. But a LOT of people left during IDM. This was a weird place to put that song. If they had placed a more upbeat song there I think more people would’ve stayed. Also, Speak Up’s ending was a terrible way to end the show. They had a cool little jam in there but the actual ending seemed to just kind of stop. Weird.

I will say that the sound was pretty good. I could hear BB better than usual. But it wasn’t Chris at the board. Is this a recent development?

All in all, a very fun show with great playing. I wish I could see them more, and I hope they come back soon.

Puppet had a jam. I didn’t take notes but thought it was pretty good.

I aint reading all that.jpeg

I rather enjoyed the first 40 minutes of the 2nd set. The use of Hangover was well done. A little disappointed in the slightly neutered Front Porch.

I really hope you get to see a FP one day man.

Yeah my bad I misread the track times

Yeah it started off great! Just felt like a bad place for a slower song.
I wish they’d taken their time with Porch. Seems like they could’ve moved stuff around. But still a fun show.
