Aww, happy for her!!
Not really, I’m just a @Random_Ass
Why does California have such nice venues and such small crowds? Every venue that isn’t the one in my hometown made me jealous, except maybe the Regency.
It was so easy to get really close. Everyone had so much space by the end of the show last night. This band really threw down for the diehards, imo
Attendance bias but I thought it was a really good show. Seemed like the band was loose and having fun (except Jake’s ear piece kept fucking up). Have to listen back but the intentions and fenced in were the highlights. I think both had multiple sections and were taken to various places.
Why was that place so empty? Sunday? San Diego lame? The people were cool, the venue was chill. The sound and lights were great
Jambands dont sell well on the West Coast
Mix that with the bands signicant drop in popularity post-covid
The show I saw there on 2017 was pretty crowded iirc…
Yea, true. Portland was undersold, but it felt packed compared to Boise, La, Tahoe, SD
SF. PDX, and Seattle all turned out. Well, not SF, lol
Poor marketing, crazy gimmick NFT’s, lack of enthusiasm due to a sonic change in the band’s newer material, aging fan base that doesn’t travel as much as they used to?
Every jamband show I go to is undersold, but it’s probably not a west coast thing and is an I like crap bands issue
Yes!!
This new batch of songs is actually my favorite since Mantis, and has grown on my muuuich faster than those did in 09
I like Hiccup, staircase, fenced in, out of focus. Some jammers on there
Also. To me, the new soundscape is a refreshing change of pace. 2014-2016 was too crowd friendly and heavy.
Jake only chugged out of 2 jams the whole tour.
You like a band that takes patience, musical knowledge, and an ability to laugh at yourself to enjoy.
They are like Zappa. If you get it. You’re cooler than the normies
Imo
But yah staircase rips
I mean, remind me and draconian and make it right were sick, but I don’t count UMBowl songs as much as albums worth of new material
Same here. I just feel so disconnected from the rest of the new material they have put out over the last 10 years though.
I felt that way until seeing these shows. These new ones will be fan favorites. All In Time
I noticed this even after the Eugene show. Chugs are definitely not as present as they were in years past.
Poor marketing to a younger crowd I think is the biggest reason. Although the crowd seemed decently young last night, and oddly the girl to guy ratio was quit strong.
Yes! Fun hanging out with you and the eggplant up in the balcony,Maximo
