I’m a little less high on this show than all of you. There are two big highlights: Wide Open and Mantis, which help. Nice to see Wide Open get actual improv in the middle, and pretty good stuff too - then the outro may be their best yet. Mantis has been discussed. Draconian is solid too, but gets aborted pretty hard just as it gets cooking.
Rest of the show feels pretty sloppy and disjointed to me though. Just as IDM got going, it got Breathe’d, and then a very odd transition into Package and Day Nurse, neither of which were wanted at that point. Then Plunger shows up too late into the 2nd set to do anything. This show is very much a victim of its (Stasik) setlist. Oh well.

I thought the Mantis was good but not great, IDM was okay too but nothing extraordinary. Gonna go through the rest of it tomorrow…

The “wife” and I had a blast and thought the show was awesome. I thought the venue was really small, so we didn’t even try to get on the floor. So we posted up behind soundboard for the second set and had plenty of room.
After Mantis, I noticed Wyllys was about 15 feet to our right. Had to remind my “wife” about making the giant check for his Bear Creek set. She suggested I go say hi. I did not lol.
Also, I thought the tease in Plunger was Glenn Frey rather than Lady GaGa

It’s been a long-ass time. I was thinking about requesting a two jam Plunger for #500 whenever the hell I get there…
Pretty sure there was one last year. Ill see if I can find it before this meeting I have.
