I feel like their reactions are the same regardless of how the band is playing

Definitely it’s pretty hive-mind and fluff city

Love synchronicity 2 and most this setlist. UM slays the MW

Yea, makes sense. Well hopefully the band can at least tell.

You could tell bayliss and stasik were loving the energy at first Ave. bayliss was full on grooving and smiling Saturday night, bopping around the stage. Made me happy to see him so happy

2nd set is definitely very good, although a couple of times I felt like the jams were just missing a little something to set them over the top. Feels like Small Strides was close to breaking out into the full on emotional dance party, but just came up a bit short. Puppet jam was also very good, but I think the ending peak was just a bit too generic.

That said, I really enjoyed that Reso, the funk groove that emerges from the chaotic ring mod / octave pedal jam is pretty dope… And the Cut the Cable jam is a lowkey highlight of the show for me, delivers a very proggy jam in the same vein as the 1/12 GYM albeit much shorter.

Agreed on all points.

The reso jam is what I’ve returned to the most of all Midwest shows. It’s quite good

did anyone hit up the late night at the High Noon Saloon with Jake? curious how that was.

My friend that does all the booking for those venues asked me months ago if they should book that show. I said no who the hell would go to that. Not putting 2 and 2 together that it was going to be a late night since this was way before UM announced those dates. Curious if anyone went, but we had a good laugh about it when I saw him at the show and was surprised they moved forward with booking it.

He told me he didn’t want to book but got pressure to do so.

Okay, but like, how did it sell??

nice! wonder if I know who your friend is  i think we may have even crossed paths at some point in the past but my memory is very very hazy…

We went, Jake played the whole show with whatever band it was. They covered Thin Air, thought it was pretty funny that UM encored with it the following night
