Then you had the ITK > Higgins > ITK, MO, and Jajunk from 04/05/08, and the Push the Pig from the Dekalb shooting memorial show on 04/08/08. Good week for the band.
Edit: should prop listen back to that Dekalb show again sometime. Feel like there was more bangers than just the Pig.
Was a wild evening in the Lou. One of the most rowdy bort hotel crew evenings I have ever been apart of. Not in a good way, either. Pretty much anyone who was staying at Crown Plaza got escorted from the property by police at like 5am.
Chris Essig, Bob Callahan, and I had a WEIRD drive back to EIU that morning.
7/14/22 Ringo is another good one. 2 jams for about 14m of improv and that second jam slays. That tasty jazz funk groove w/ the drippy Bayliss textures echo deep into my soul.
I’m sure I’m being a dumb newb, but I’ve been stuck on a BLBC 2nd set opener from 10/24/10. It’s not the longest, but it’s got a nice little Stasik bass party in there. Definitely rec if you’re looking to dance. Nice little Ghostbustersish tease towards the end.
I’m pretty sure in the UM Bowl thread, I posted right after they dropped abruptly back into the BB solo section that they should have milked it a little more.
Yea, a lot of folks i knew did that. I had a room at Moonrise so just rode the high of being able to look out my window to see how long the line to get in was.
I wouldnt be surprised if they come back down here for some future NYE run. Not sure it would be the Pageant, but maybe Factory in Chesterfield. GSBG was supposed to do NYE there last year. Deadmau5 is doing NYE this year. Pretty safe market for them as well.
