Listening to Escape Goat right now. Nice to see them taking it out there on the debut. BB vocals were a little rough…

Just me or does it seem like Jake is disjointed from the rest of the band at times? They, meaning everyone else, lock into something and his playing seems out of place or like he’s trying to quickly move the theme in a different direction.

That’s like 90% of umphreys. It’s called jaking off for a reason

I get that, I’m used to the showboating. it’s just sometimes it’s way overbearing and I never realized it was this bad until the last year or two. Or has it gotten worse? At times he might as well be in a room by himself noodling away because it’s like he’s not even play with the band.

2x2 was solid and cohesive

Really enjoyed the Escape Goat, if anything could’ve used more of a peak towards the end but very solid jam and they let it ride out for a while. Reminds me of the first Attachments jam in a way.

This New Wings is really fun

Joel and Brownie are the best.

What a show! So glad to have made this one happen.

Whole opening segment in the 1st set is very well done. Debut of Escape Goat was so :fire: including the > Wizard. New Wings jam was also fun. Snucka is a great set closer, especially with the Bulls on Parade quote. Kitchen is a good encore, cute litte 5 minute jam in it too.

Excited to listen back on the ride back home today. 5th time there was one of the best ones. Another coverless show! Teases and quotes sure, but not fully fleshed out covers, I’m okay with it! Really strong effort gotta be a top 10 show I’ve attended, just a front-to-back consistent effort. Love these guys \mm/

That setlist looks putrid, but glad to see they’re actually jamming

Yep, been a big thing this summer, but seems to be getting better

Thanks Ben. It really stood out to me late in the Escape Goat jam, the dub/reggae section.

I enjoyed Escape Goat. Very proud of the boys for going big with it.

Just putting on EG (Educated Guess no longer gets the acronym). First thing I notice is the song is really tight, IMO the most polished sounding of the new songs. Only thing is that first note of the chorus is super high, hopefully Bayliss can nail it eventually

Really strong start to the jam, typical UM progression for the first few minutes but quickly pivots, really nice layers.

Same, I thought it sounded great for a debut performance.

This is a shoo in for JOTY unless I’m missing anything

The end kind of meanders well they try to figure out how to get to wizard

That’s fine I like meandering lol, I’m only a minute away from WBG and I’d say there’s enough good stuff here to warrant the cshore JOTY stamp

It’s great. Though I’m #imwithjoel, it would have been cool to have one more build that peaked into wizard

Nah, jamming is stupid, get to the song already IMO
