to everyone hating on KB, talking shit on money, etc. - y’all realize that UM has like 20 or more people (with families) on their payroll, right? they make money on ticket sales, not on record sales. i’m sure they’re stressed as shit and on the ropes, just like everyone else these days. my guess is they’re trying to keep paying their road crew and others to help keep their lights on. UM certainly does better than most bands in ‘the scene’, but these dudes definitely ain’t rich.
Regardless of the ongoing/constant KB jokes, I think the large majority of us are totally in favor of supporting the band financially.

My understanding is that KB keeps all money directed toward the band. The members of UM are kept in his basement and occasionally if they play a good show where the jams are all under 6 minutes and they play a Roctopus encore, he will feed them scraps of raw meat as a reward, but otherwise he keeps it all

Can this close to the band person tell them they missed a huge laugh by not having KB ask them to play roctopus when he made his appearance on the live stream?
I’d pay $20 to watch one of these feedings.
do you think KB pays for that meat or is it more like a Joe Exotic-style Walmart dumpster dive?

I’m pretty close to UM as well (have sat in with Twiddle, Joel once said he’d “try and make it out” to my band’s aftershow), and my sources tell me that KB engineered the COVID crisis with his underling Bill Gates in order to ease the VFJ crowd into the transition where Isaac from Tauk takes over for Kris
