Archive recording(sounds great, thanks Ben!):

Happy (11th) Birthday to a fun one. Land of the microjams, this show has lots to enjoy. Itk is nice → Mulche’s - composed jam (on day of show backstage) - double ending!; Linear is a solid double time jam; DBK > Amble On is cool, nice d&b segement in there.

S2 opening with a fat 3x → CtC (consider this was the summer SS was released), almost got a Proverbial in Hangover! Haji with the 2 comp jam on Den & WMM is atypical > finish Kitchen.

Encore is aiight, liked the Simple Gifts tease.

Legendary night, met a few Borters at this one. Good times :clinking_beer_mugs:

Thanks for the reminder, I always forget about this show. Pretty sure it was my 50th. The Amble On was my request

That’s a sweet 50th, that place had that sloped floor iirc. They only played The Tower once, neat 1 off

RIP the Tower, currently shut down and no plans to re-pen AFAIK. A shame, that’s a historic-ass venue.

D’awh, that’s a real sin. That place is entirely too historic to let it gather dust, plus that hood needs something nice to call their own. LN needs to give up ownership if it is to ever open again, imho. Hope someone takes on the project and it survives

Bowie Live was recorded there fwiw

The list of acts that have played the Tower is super impressive. @snuckaskitchen Thin Lizzy recorded Still Dangerous there

Like I said, I don’t think there are any plans for the building. LiveNation owns it. That area is still kinda rotting and it’s not in Philly proper, so I’m sure there’s a lot less appetite for LN to plow money into it and compete with all the venues in town along with AMH, which is only 10-15 minutes farther out into the 'burbs. Probably gonna get demoed eventually.
