Why not spend less and do Eugene>Portland x 2>Seattle? Eugene is less than two hours from Portland straight down the 5 and Seattle is 2.5 hours north. It’s a pretty easy run to do Eugene even has an airport if you wanted to fly in there take the Amtrak to Portland then to Seattle and fly out there.

One more show, different nature, and a lot more lodging options in PDX and SEA.

You have no ties to California, why have you done this

I was actually conceived on Grateful Dead tour in 1987 in the Bay Area brah. I like to tell people my first shows with Jerry were in utero at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey of May that year. But for real my parents both went to University of Santa Clara. I was born in Colorado though and that is why I tend to gravitate towards heady shit since I am a hybrid of the Californian/Coloradan breed.

I have never done Aspen and never had a desire to. I don’t ski/snowboard. I almost died in whiteout conditions driving solo from Denver to Steamboat Springs on U-Melt’s first CO tour way back in the day. Aspen is expensive as fuck and the Belly Up is an uncomfortable nuts-to-butts venue supposedly. Hard pass.

The belly up is sweet. And Aspen is great. But it’s always during spring break, so it’s certainly an expensive run.

Got myself a 930 club 2day pass. Wife doesn’t know yet that she’ll be alone for Valentine’s Day

Would love to make the trip back to Penns peak but that’s unlikely, that place is killer.

Nans.

Its definitely a cool town, but really expensive and 100% geared towards skiers.

Aspen geared toward skiers? Mind = blown

Should it be geared toward . . . bass fishing? Like what the fuck point are you trying make

It’s not geared towards snowboarders brah…

If you don’t ski or snowboard why go to Aspen? It didn’t work out for Harry and Lloyd…

The point is its not really worth it if you dont like to ski.

I like your energy though, bro.

Doesn’t look like a single show sold out yet on the tour. I was just able to add ten Bluebird tickets to a cart for $588 so $58 per ticket after fees. The Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn isn’t sold out either and those tickets are like $62 after fees. None of the Aspen dates say sold out either but I didn’t check those links. Not sure what’s up other than they haven’t found the new equilibrium price for these smaller rooms they’ve returned to. Hopefully they keep playing well regardless of the ticket sales. I’m still trying to hit whatever dates I can swing.
