There were kind of fun in the beginning, but mainly because you got to get into the venue early, beer/pizza, intimate, and got to chat with the band a bit. They provide no enjoyment on tape. Would much rather them just do a 1 song or full improv set. Or even just another band pick/regular set. I’ve enjoyed every set I’ve listened back to, but trying to listen to the S2 set is tedious and does nothing for me.
I thought this one was pretty good, particularly once you get beyond the meshuggah one. The sections are relatively cohesive from there on out

Yeah I wasn’t a huge fan of this one. Some cool choices but not my favorite. I was kind of in a bad mood so maybe that’s why. Stood by the bar and ate popcorn with @mal

Listened to N1 last night, tough to think of a better highlight of 2020-21 UM than the third set. First set also had moments and while there weren’t any surprises in the acoustic set, it hit the feels. Probably gonna check out N2 tonight.
