IMO it’s pretty but it’s basically a one trick pony compositionally speaking

Pequod was better when they included Ahab in the middle imo. Still a pretty tune though.

Ya bc then that gives it more of a “complete” song since it builds a bridge so to speak. I still love it tho, whenever the album version of Wife Soup pops up I gotta play Pequod ala Prowler > 2nd Self. They follow each other on their respective albums so it just feels right to listen to those songs together (all together now).

Correct Snucka. Only requirements are 1) Played at least 50 times and 2) has been played at least once since 2020. I’ll also do another check at the end of the polling to see if something else became qualified since the first of the polls came out, but right now I don’t think anything else will have qualified.

Edit: yah nothing else has qualified since the polls started. Also here’s what has 50+ plays but hasn’t been played in many years. None of these felt to me like they needed to be included, but if there’s differing opinions I can add them at the end:

  • Bob (ltp 2013, 52 plays)
  • G-Song (ltp 2014, 81 plays)
  • In Violation of Yes (ltp 2011, 65 plays)
  • Kat’s Tune (ltp 2013, 93 plays)
  • Mamu (ltp 2015, 93 plays)
  • Nachos for Two (ltp 2003, 92 plays)
  • Raymond (ltp 2018, 50 plays)
  • The Other Side of Things (ltp 2014, 87 plays)

Edit 2: Here’s the list of songs that are close to qualifying

  • Hourglass at 49 plays
  • Kula, Loose Ends, and Nipple Trix at 48 plays
  • IDM at 47 plays
  • Maybe Someday at 46 plays
  • Gurgle, Hours, Looks, and No Comment at 45 plays

Also Mad Love is at exactly 50 plays, so it barely made the cutoff.

I could see Hourglass, No Comment, and IDM being worth votes. I’m honestly surprised how low the first two are, and IDM is relatively recent.

Kat’s Tune and TOSOT are maybes, too.

Agree about Hourglass, No Comment, and IDM. Especially IDM. I’d also throw in Kula, Maybe Someday, and Looks since they’re in frequent enough rotation. Not saying I’m gonna put all these in at the end, but I’m open to the idea if people want to vote on more stuff. I figure with my original parameters giving us 138 polls that was more than enough to do some analysis and draw some conclusions.

Silent Type is the definition of C tier. Forgettable composition (at best), solid jam vehicle status.
