Love Ex1 being an A for so many. It rarely goes very far but it’s as Umphrey’s a song as you’ll hear. Love that urban legend, Ex. 1 in a setlist seems like a good lodestar for good setlist writing.
FF is a generic white boy reggae song, so I had to go C.
Front Porch was a toughie. But pretty quintessential song and it brought us the Front Porch Set.
Wonder what the -Bort consensus is on this, but any song that took over as THE year’s jam vehicle (Red Tape '11, HBB/N2F/DBK in the early years) probably gets an A-tier minimum? I can’t really think of a counterexample, and jam quality seems to be influencing people’s voting anyway.
EDIT: Frantically tries to hide C-tier vote on Famtachments
I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned this in planned metrics, but if you figure the UMfriend thing out, it might be cool to see how far away each voter is from the average consensus. I assume this would only be possible if the voter has voted in all songs, unless you want to do some sort of imputation.
Yep I’m tracking everyone’s ratings against the consensus, so I can do what I did with sociablebenny for everyone (ie you voted with the popular tier x% of the time and weighted tier y% of the time, and you typically vote over/under the winning tier)
