KB would pull the plug on a 3 night run at a sick venue to insure the band gets to play one set at a dumb corporate looking fest.
If he is actually a stakeholder in the festival he probably stands to make more money by booking Umphreys at a festival rate and forgoing the Mish booking fees. KB is thinking long term probably takes 3-4 years if successful for a festival to break even so he needs to leverage his ability to influence Umphreys into playing it over the Mish if he stands to come out with more money at the end.
Yeah, I get it but donât have to like or agree with it!
The mish is going to be a nightmare for the crew. Lighting rig tiny, etc. But they will be aight
Lana and I are planning on joining if everything lines up
I swear that somewhere on this board, somebody said theyâd never play the Mish again because the stage is too small or something along those lines.
Ya well it was cummins who said that and we all know cummins lies!
this
Seems weird for them to go Colorado>Indiana>Montana but I wouldnât put it past them. Hope these Mish dates come to fruition I got arrested the week before the 2009 date and didnât make the trek cause I had a court date in Illinois to go to instead.
Been to the Mish for Mike Gordon, Lotus, and Biscuits. Itâs my favorite venue in Colorado. It also was a lot different back in the aughts.
Hell yeah. Just did 3 nights on gravel at the Salvage Station. I was sore for a few days. Not as bad as sand but itâs the same concept
Havenât been here in forever, just pokinâ around
Last time I went there was the night my bike was stolen.
Never again.
This isnât the festivals thread
Looks like lady friend and I are in for Asheville x2. @StoneJackBaller where should we stay?
Airbnb it. Theres a few decent spots still available
If youre trying to be close to the venueâŚwest asheville or River Arts District. If you want viewsâŚFairview, Leicester, Town Mountain.
Beware if you get a nice spot with a view up in the mountains stonejack will call you fancy folk.
Nice this is the summer run the âwifeâ and I are hitting. Excited to get back to Asheville love that city.
