While Iâm opposed to the sportwashing going on, I think the competition to the PGA Tour and the reduced stodginess could be good for golf overall. The PGA (golf in general, really) is also not the first entity that comes to mind when weâre talking equality and human rights. I played at one of my friendâs father-in-lawâs clubs on Sunday and women arenât allowed to play before noon on the weekend, which counts as progress I guess.

Ahhh, lol. Yeah, I mean, clubs gonna club. Even getting male non-members out before noon on a Sunday required all sorts of handjobbing, and supposedly this is one of the less stodgy clubs in the area. You can almost smell that thereâs a TON of Trump and Mastraiano votes in the room when youâre in the lockers.
The pandemic really killed my plan to pick up a membership at a desperate club with dwindling membership in a couple years. They are back and âbetterâ than ever.

Iâm assuming theyâll say this is more of a pace of play move, which Iâd understand, but with a major caveat. No multiple tee play within a group before that time as well. The group must all play from the same tees, no tips or whites mixed in with seniors. Is that the case as well? Just curious.
