Random, Spontaneous Thoughts about UM (Part Pee)

I think it was 2010 NYE run where Joel’s dad was rooooocking out in a tinkle. I saw him in the balcony box and it made my soul feel good. Ran into him in the bathroom once and just said something short about Joel and he what responded “he’s the best”

What a rad family

Just listened to the holiday show. Pretty unremarkable IMO. The I-man>Kitchen>I-man segment was cool though.

For a good cause I get it. But seems like other years had better covers and more UM originals.

Joel was actually the one who started the fires.

That’s why they call him Hot Joel

I assume you’re talking about Joel Cummins, because the world knows that Billy Joel didn’t start the fire… :man_shrugging:

A shame the last two comments didn’t get more love. Or I’m easily amused.

Didn’t follow the UM NYE run very closely, but I think it’s pretty cool that Ben Factor shares rundowns of the lighting rigs on social media. He’s a great follow

Say what you will about him vs waful, but I always love and appreciate how much thought and energy he puts into making each of the “big shows” unique. I loved the set up from 2023 nye run.

Those mirrors were money from a streaming perspective

I thought this was one of his better rigs, I wish they would keep it for this upcoming tour but I’m sure it was just bigger budget NYE run.

I also loved the UM style rig Waful used for the 2011 NYE run and summercamp one year. That thing was cool as hell.

I’d like to see Ben utilize a full sized screen again, like he did at Sacred Rose.

The border of the screen was the best part, especially when he just went full one color. I remember during a jam that went heavy he just did a full red that was sick as fuck
