NYE 2024

Looks like I’m going to have to head down to the Aragon and remove the camping chair that I set up in line last week.

Vic Theater?

Looks like capacity at the cubby bear Chicago (their first NYE) is 1200. This would be their smallest NYE yet

Will this sell out and how fast yall think?

I’ll have to remember that next time I’m accused of having a small hog. It’s just intimate!

Works for me all the time.

No horn section this year?

I’m guessing that boulder theater is gonna be a pretty tough ticket. There are lots of UM fans in CO and that place is pretty small

Honestly sounds tempting, small ass venue, they might throw down. Waiting to see what wsmfp does.

I’ve heard mention that WSP will be at the mission in denver this year. not sure how credible that is

It’ll be 45 degrees on NYE in Boulder. Front range city winters are wimpy.

This run looks awesome, no idea whether or not I can attend.

Given the smaller capacity I’m wondering if they juice the ticket price a bit for these to try to make their nut vs paying more for advertising and trying to fill bigger rooms.

Obviously this isn’t a good move for the long run. Make it cheap and guarantee more people would consider going.

@WhoDatVols in case you’re wondering why this is the case…

Drive 2 hours west into the mountains and it’s a whole different world. That being said, we do get a couple storms a year where weather moves in from the east and Denver/Boulder get hit with a lot of snow, and the occasional polar vortex thing causing single digit temps, but it’s not typical winter weather here. Plenty of days in the 40s, and the sun makes everything feel 10F warmer.

I did a Denver NYE and it was still cold as fuck.

It’s not typical. It’s usually pretty mild. Nothing compared to Chicago or NYC.

Same, and then on the 1st it was 60 degrees.
