Yeah that’s a pass. The Wiltern is a cool venue but I’m not doing that.

I’ll also be in Italy.

The first release off the new album sounds like Korn at times…lol

Yeah I imagine the Riviera will be absolutely packed. Still going to try for tickets but won’t be bummed if I miss out

The main guitar riff sounds like something from a Green Day song.

The opening riff reminds me of something, some nü metal song I think…

sounds like most Korn riffs with a little of Pantera’s Becoming

I was thinking Korn but I can’t think of the exact song.

BBK?

Maybe, it might also be a riff from one of those one hit wonder nu metal bands from the late 90’s/early 00’s.

So in addition to the Marilyn Manson ripoff, we also have a Drowning Pool ripoff…I’m sorry, influence.

Regardless, unlike UM, Muse has someone that can sing and makes music I actually want to listen to, they make earworms. I’m looking forward to the release of the new album.

Muse crushed as always. They consistently deliver a top tier show. I’ll go to their Bay show for the new album too.

This new album is all over the place musically.

Totally agree. I gave it a very cursory listen this morning but have been to occupied to truly “listen” to it. Was thinking about just waiting until my record shows up next week.

True it’s all over the place musically, but I think it’s well-done. I’ll listen to it more this weekend, but I’m very much enjoying it so far.

I’m finding the singles that were already released more interesting than ones I hadn’t heard previously.

Interesting blend of influences… Marilyn Manson, Daft Punk, Korn/Dead Pool, Queen, and Rockwell.
