What’s the venue like? Is it at a hotel?
It’s a hotel resort? But kinda out in the desert. VIP area is pool and hotel bathrooms. It’s a gorgeous lawn with rows of small trees framing it. It’s really nice. Great hospitality and staff. Two food trucks
Perfect Umphreys, imo
Pretty sure my foot is broken. Been dull throbbing to bad for a couple days, but being on the grass at the venue has super helped. Walking on the airport tiles right now is brutal.
Do you remember doing anything to it?
In the middle of thursday night I vaguely remember accidentally pulling the door into it. It’s like on the bottom joint of my big toe.
Bummer about the foot, nice meeting you and your mom.
Nice to meet ya too, brother. If/when you come to Madison or Milwaukee give me a hollah. Work tomorrow is gonna suck tho
Last night’s 1st set looks like dream setlist material. Wouldn’t even be mad at no N2F jam if it dropped into Divisions. What a statement to open.
Looks like a great weekend overall!
Yeah no one was mad about it as soon as the division chunks started happening.
Ghost tag? It took me to this post but don’t see me tagged… gotta be because mad love
Alright Cole, hate to do it to ya, but… Iceland vs Morocco?
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Were there Moroccan hot dogs?
I wonder why 4/18 hasn’t been uploaded
I’d guess the technical issues Jake and Joel had made them feel it wasn’t something they wanted people to hear. I could see them releasing the stuff that’s fine but need to edit it.
Yeah some of my post didn’t reload when I was editing them. It was for the mad love, I said something about Becca would be mad I don’t know this on the spot
It’s totes this. It was def several songs that were effected, I’m guessing they’ll do some editing when they’re back home
Different strokes.
This was my first kinda experience with my mom, and that was an incredible thing.
Morocco: more of a culture clash(in a good way), more of an adventure. For the vast majority this was a brand new kind of experience and most people were taking it all in. Never really felt unsafe. Mom also finally understood the scene and why I’m able to have so many friends across the country who I see rarely see. She “gets” it and our crew that we made from our tour group was incredible. Like forever friends. And meeting @Fraggle was great! Can’t wait to see you again buddy!
Iceland: more of an experience, more surreal of a trip just with how trippy Iceland can be. Was also my first overseas trip with my ex, and there was two years of Covid blue balls so there was more of a build up.
Both trips changed me, challenged me, and made me appreciate different things. Both incredible countries. But these experiences help ground me and remind me what’s really important to me in my life.
Oh, and me and ma didn’t have any blowups or anything. There were two times where I had to be like “ maaaa I’m a 34 year adult, I have autonomy of my own body, stop micro managing me” but other than that we were fine. I don’t ever need to share a hotel room with my mom for like 8 or 9 days ever again, but overall it was a really awesome experience for both of us. Plus she made all the shows!
