The entire concept of creating a punk persona and getting together with some other drug band musicians to craft some “punk music” is cringe worthy in itself. Seem a bit self indulgent and spurious.

I think there are definitely some genuine DIY “punk” bands, folks like Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Black Flag, etc. These bands literally lived the ethos.
That said, there is Green Day, Blink 182, The Offspring, and many others that have imitated the sound.

I don’t care about the side project; just the use of stupid hype language like “strap in”.
