Jamband Cringe Thread

Are you talking about the artist reminting their own work or another artist reminting the original artist’s work?

Either I guess? The minter is less relevant to my point than the exact same image being minted more than once.

I think the point I’m trying to make is if it’s a close enough physical duplicate, you’re probably beyond the point where the exact texture of a brushstroke is going to objectively make one version better than the other. The real value is in the originality of the first.

Then again, I know nothing about high value art collecting other than what I see in the movies, and with that limited knowledge, they all seem like pretentious assholes who place absurd value in dumb shit.

I’m not sure how you’d remint another artists work and have it be of value, frankly. In terms of the original artist, it’s the same as a poster designer releasing a new batch. It’s kind of an honor system that when you release a limited edition (whether 1 of 1 or 1 of x) it stays… limited.

The conversation of value is much headier. The assignment of value is ultimately up to the marketplace

The second example would be closer to what you are asking. A run of 13 being expanded to a run of 99 greatly devalues the original run.

Do you work for Swarovski? If so, can you please send me one of the Z6(I) 2.5-15x56 P rifle scopes? I’d prefer the 7A style reticle, but I’m flexible.

Bingo. Which to your point upsets original buyers.

Good talk, bros but I’m at capacity with NFT talk for the day. Have fun!

Putting that on my deer rifle would be like putting nice rims on a 2002 Camry.

I would get $107.45 back on that purchase via my Chase Amazon Visa card however.
