Jake is training Roy on UM material so that he can join UM when Jake comes back.
Jake is also training Willy Waldman and his girlfriend.
UM is going to be a 9 piece band. Nothing will be able to stop them. Except last minute destination weddings.

very sad to see/hear this all but confirmed. As much as BB is killing it, I do hope they find a second guitarist that fits, just to expand the catalog night to night. A lot of really good ABT songs permanently off the table?

Well this is stupid. Losing Kris and Jake is not recoverable. I guess my last Jake show was his last show, ended with a half-assed Glory and Santeria.

As of tonight Plunger is officially back in rotation so I can see UM again. I’ll miss Ringo and WBG but I’ve always been a much bigger Bayliss fan anyways…

Is this something contractual, like if the band fires him, he’s owed some kind of buyout, and they just can’t afford it, which is why I’m seeing the slowest band-aid pull ever?

I would speculate that the decision has been made and that the band is waiting to announce the replacement when the replacement is ready to perform, assuming they replace him.
I wonder if Jake’s “wife” is channeling her inner Yoko Ono?
