my 2nd of 3 shows celebrating their 25th anniversary this year
i was at the base of the hill, kicking around a hacky sack with folks during this show.
i showed up to this fest solo without knowing anyone. i also didn’t bring a tent - night 1 was super cold. but day 2, i got to chatting with someone who had an extra tent, and that was glorious. oh to be between grade 11 and 12 of high school, again

I havent listened to a ton from this year. What i have has been ok. Nothing mind blowing, but tight.
06/15/23: Shimmy - > Evolve - > Abraxas - > PBR >< Home Again - > Shimmy is everything that is right about this band.
Love how they developed the > Abraxas. First sign of the theme is a solid 10 mins before they drop into the song. Then the PBR >< Home Again is just the bussiness.
That reminds me of some 07-09 era stuff.
Hopefully we keep getting more of those moments the more they play. Shit is bonkers.
