They did, it was peak goofiness.
11/11 report: long story short I got to talking to the crew over the last couple nights and threw out the idea of a one song set (or hour long jam assuming this show would be a long one set) and the band embraced the concept. I specifically requested Blast. The execution was more like a 45+ min Blast > Fannie > Blast but it was epic nonetheless. Hereās the standard stuff Iāve been posting but this time I marked up the setlist to show how fluid things were
niko notes
S1: mucho (cold open jam, fun regular jam), zeus > flipped > sleeping giant, french, end it on the yah/yeehaw (with reprise), nuff ā blast (big jam, cover tease?) > frannie (big jam) > blast > time is funny, Super Bowl > 8 years (ending only)
E: Arnold
Oh and I also mentioned that the 8 years from last night was still unfinished so was happy that they ended the set on that
Also they played til about 11:30, so it was a 2.5 hour show, but if they played everything on that setlist it probably wouldnāt have been good. Crazy they cut like a dozen thingsā¦ also not sure why it was so loaded up. Probably just for ideas of what hadnāt been played for the SoCal run.
Hell yeah thanks for making them jam lol
I wish I was seeing them again before they stop. Our gigs have been conflicting with theirs forever, and now their last run in steamboat were in a different mountain town that weekend. I think my last show was Boulder 2023.
10/27 Velcro is super fire
Tonight is streaming on YouTube
10/31 is loaded with great jams, give it a listen. Hoping the shows I was at are out soon.
I streamed the Brooklyn show. So good. Mucho and Numbers jams were probably my favorite but I missed the first half of set 1. Oh and Black Holes too I think. Still hoping I can somehow get to steamboat next weekend
Rob teasing the guitar solo from Mother while playing Fearless in the 11/1 show is
Alright, here I go listening to dopapod
Anyone doing the Soundcheck shows this weekend? I can only make Saturday. Canāt believe this is my ālastā Dopapod show. I love this band so much.
No see you in Indy
Any headier bustout than a FTP from their first album?
I swear Iām surrounded by a shield of chompers tonight doesnāt matter where I go
