I had a blast at the show last night. Was worried that it’d be missing some of the punch/balls/etc without Jake, but I was blown away by Bayliss.
Red Tape and 2x2 jams both smoked. Loved Divisions > 1348 as well, didn’t really love the rest of the second set jams but they were fine.
Crowd and lighting were both on point I thought. Brought 4 guys who had never been to the caverns and they all were mind blown.
Great hangs as always with @hbbubblebath and great to meet @derblutenkat !! Hope Tennessee treated y’all well

Haven’t listen to any recent shows, but I actually really liked the Bayliss New Wave guitar sound being the core of it. Obviously it’s a huge influence regardless of Jake or not, but it worked for me being at the forefront

No no not like that. They had a flashlight while handing out the water, not to catch people doing drugs. The bathroom attendant had a flashlight too and it freaked me out at first, but then realized it’s because it’s dark as fuck and the doors shut easily so you can’t tell if people are in them or not.
Also, fuck anyone who smokes cigs in a venue

They had fucking sheriffs as security getting in to venue which I found to be very odd. “Wifes” response to me questioning it “it’s Tennessee”
Were they sheriffs or just wearing cowboy hats? The venue security there all wears cowboy hats

Yeah, turns out they were actually in the cabin next to us! Hung out with them for a bit after and learned that we know a ton of the same people. My notes do not reflect all that hahah
The 1st set is the business. Specifically the PtP & that 2x2
