Set One: Tango Mike > Concessions, Professor Wormbog, Domino Theory, Sociable Jimmy, Nothing Too Fancy > Pay the Snucka > Seek and Destroy [1] > Pay the Snucka
Set Two: In The Kitchen, Wife Soup, Utopian Fir > Come Closer > Utopian Fir > Mulche’s Odyssey, The Weight Around, Kielbasa > Nothing Too Fancy
Encore: The Silent Type > Hollywood Nights > The Silent Type
I had to leave late in 2nd set. Just exhausted. But the Kitchen and Fir were def going hard. In set one, Confessions was cool and thought Domino really had this awesome baseline and groove going early and then they just pushed it.
Band seemed to be having a good time. For the space, the sound and mix were both actually impressive. Just a little too packed for my liking these days.
And I’m surprised this place exists. I’m in my hotel bed at 1110pm and can feel/hear the show from here. No joke. Like I said earlier, could clearly hear concessions sound check.
I wonder why they don’t have Scotty (or anyone else, really) help sing the chorus in Domino. Same for Intentions Clear chorus, I think those two songs suffer the most without Myers’ vox.
NGL, these early of the year setlists have some 15/16 vibes to them. Jam vehicles getting the standard and diet sandwich treatments, 8 song sets, a few dumb covers. Although by my ears, at least it sounds tight and decent. Plus, the good shows have been good enough to forgive some of this stuff that i don’t care for.
