It’s some kind of cruel joke to open up 2nd set with No Diablo. It’s like they already knew you took a piss during set break.

In addition to the No Diablo, Tinkles goes in a different direction than it typically does, Comma Later coveres a ton of ground for a 9 minute track, and the 3x is miles better than the Aucoin one last week. Really, really good second set.

I need to re-listen to both this show and KC to fully confirm, but both shows had pretty meh first sets with improv that didn’t go anywhere. St. Louis having maybe the limpest set of UM that I’ve ever witnessed. Couldn’t even be saved by the DBK.
The second sets of both shows were much better. As if a totally different band had come out to play.
Was bummed to miss this one. UM is very much in the category of bands i will only see in STL. Hopefully they come back in the Fall so i dont have to wait until 2027 to see my first Scotty show.
