2025/07/13 - XL Live - Harrisburg, PA

Zwang had a little bit more of hitch in his giddyup in the 2nd set. Marlon Lewis definitely stole a little of his thunder with those 2 gems.

I enjoyed the show and my first time at XL. Highlights from memory are milk, cw2, tinkles, and parts of DBK. Even though I was hung up on the sound, it didn’t negatively affect my experience all that much.

However it was live, it’s 100x worse on nugs. What are they doing?! @opsopcopolis gotta have w chat with them

I don’t like CW or CW2 much so hearing the opening notes of CW is always a buzz kill, but remember really digging this CW2 live

Also, isn’t this Milk a repeated stew? Sounds so familiar

They were jamming on the melody of “the fish” for the first half of the jam.

Like them throwing in some Savannahs love throughout the show.

The beginning of DBK and the end of Puppet. The mix is so bad it sounds like the speakers are getting blown out

Again, i know i am often written off as a hater but it is extremely amature and unprofessional for a band with their status as a live act to have that bad of sound. Hell even the old Matrix recordings sound better

I also love how now that Jake is playing interesting guitar again for the first time in a decade and not just shitting notes all over his band mates for half the show, it doesnt even matter because he is so dominant in the mix that he might as well be full blown cock Jake

The fact that 50 year old Dead recordings sound better is hilarious to me.

Sounds aside, both streamed shows are A+ shows. Boys are definitely not phoning it in

Is Umphrey’s declining?

Man this mix is probably one of the worst yet.

But besides that show was killer.

Dang it man, I’m really gonna go broke seeing four shows in August. It’s OK, this band deserves it right now. Name me the last time they played 3 shows as good as this one, CT, and Ft. Wayne in the same week. I’ll wait

Zwang’s DBK FEELS very different from Kris. Surprisingly heavier with less jazz touches (and the returns suffered a bit for it). But the cues were all there. I’m just impressed he played it already. All 4 2nd set jams were top notch as well.

2nd jam in DBK sounds like a repeat of 2022 Vail Nemo.

Dying at Scotty tossing in “A titty bar called Savannah’s where we’ll plan our escape”.

Savannah’s is the titty bar across the street and owned by the same folks as XL. Ticket to the show gets you in for half price (Jake’s banter). Good shit boys

And BB threw it into the Steely lyrics
