I’m up way too early, but this is on Nugs already. I’m only up to Blue Echo, and this show is starting off hot. August is fire. Plus, I’m more confident in saying that the mix sounds better.

Naturally, I love the Front Porch. The first jam is legit, and the Hiccup jam seems like an extended intro/hype into it IMO. UM 3.0 is OK.

Quote from one of my and @FussyManDutch ‘s “friends” who was at the show

“Guys Umphrey’s is absolutely killing it tonight, One of the best Baths I’ve ever seen and we’re in the midst of a really great Front Porch“

Anybody in attendance notice if Scotty played the beginning of Similar Skin with 2 sets of sticks?

Pretty sure Myers did it too

I know. I was asking if Scotty happened to do it also.

Show of the year. Just listen. The band plays all the classic heavy hitters, jams them all with maximum intensity, and the result is a great night. Highlights: Everything, but if I had to pick the super cool and creative Lydian August jam that gets much more exploratory than normal for that song and the twin intense drone jams in Hiccup and Front Porch.

I didn’t realize it had been since 2009 that they played Home Sweet Home  I can see why, haha. But this was certainly a fair time for a fun encore like that.

God bless our little Joel spreading his wings vocally.

During the piano intro of Home Sweet Home a couple of the crew (maybe venue workers) held up huge cutouts of the comedy/tragedy masks from the album artwork behind Joel lol
