Pretty fucking great show, finally got a Milk after 98 shows! Drums were pretty over powering but if you cranked the headphones you could hear everything well. Backing vocals and perc really stood out more than normal. I enjoyed feeling like a fly in the room watching them play a show from backstage. It was so quiet you could make out what they were saying into the talkbacks, you could watch Myers struggling to open his iPad Lock Screen too lol. Just being a lot closer/behind the guitars offered a different view into how the band operates in real time.
Wish the headphones were the usual ones instead of silent disco ones but that’s a skill nitpick. Stoked to come back Thursday!

were the headphones themselves wireless rather than a beltpack that you plugged into? I always preferred to bring me IEMs and just plug into their beltpacks when i did H&S
Yeah the radio was built into the headphones, no pack. They were light up to indicate what channel they were on (everyone was using the red channel) and had “silent disco” on them. They didn’t fully go all around your ears, not as good as the usual headphones.
The beginning of the show was drums only audible in the room, eventually they turned some bass and guitar amps on it seemed around Pequod. I did appreciate sliding off my left headphone to hear the drums and Jake room sound.
I think I’m going to aim for opposite side on Thursday and try to tame the drum volume, although not sure how much that’ll matter in a room this small.

That was such a unique experience, thought they sounded great honestly. Just a very relaxed environment for everyone there. Having never really done the H&S before at a show, something as simple as very clearly hearing Myers using the brushes during Pequod was very cool.

Edit: Kitchen Dwellers at Union in Baltimore on the 28th would be a good time as well. Indoor shows there are fun
