Hourglass > Phil’s Farm is a needed change to the setlist - pretty nifty segue actually. Other than that, looks good. There was a Zsa Zsa Gabor jam at the end of It’s Not Your Fault.
I enjoyed this show a lot. Honestly, I was just happy to get a show in at all after last night, but the band was clicking and listening to each other and there are several pieces of improv I am looking forward to relistening to. Phil’s and August both establish really nice bouncebacks with good development of each section. The 2nd set Bath is also a highlight. After playing one of the most meandering Baths in recent memory last weekend in a bad way, this version is unique but in a good way - the number of fakeouts back into and out of the main theme is really fun and it kept everyone on their toes. 1348 also had a really pleasant uplifting jam that went thoroughly into lyrical stew territory without the lyrical stew before a nice smooth segue into Fussy.
I love this venue. Being able to hear Joel is great. The view is beautiful. I hope they have better luck with this next time.

are you from Chicago? I grew up blocks from the Jensen Tobaggan Slides on the NW side. So much fun sliding through snow at 20mph with your whole family.
