Itā€™s amazing what they can do when they throw jam vehicle after jam vehicle and let things be more patient. 2nd set looks great so far.

Bluebird set 2 was very good to say the least. Also, thought that set with the DBK was very good too.

Also can we petition to just get rid of encores? What a waste of time for any band. Just keep playing until curfew. An 8min Jajunk is a disgrace at any point during a show.

I know there wasnā€™t crazy improv in that first set, but I really liked the song selection and the sort of mood they were going for. I was really skeptical of it on paper, but it worked for me while listening. I would take this sort of moodiness and rock over party style, but thatā€™s just my own personal preference.

The first 50 seconds of the Pequod was darn perty too. As an ambient fan, I think that UM does these sort of simple piano washes with some simple guitar quite well. The segue into hindsight is pretty good to my ears as well.

Also, having not listened consistently since 2019, this is the first time hearing staircase and out of focus, which I enjoyed hearing through for the first time. I could see someone who has heard those songs a a lot get sorta sick of them. Is staircase a AFAF outtake? It sounds like it is in the similar universe as a lot of those songs.

The Example 1 jam didnā€™t go anywhere tho, which was a bummer. I enjoy a good JO our of that song and I think it coulda fit well into the set.

I didnā€™t even bother spinning the first set went straight to Bridgeless which was decent but now Iā€™m about to get to the jam in Small Strides and Iā€™m quite looking forward to it. Also the Plunger looks huge so hope it delivers as well!
