2023/12/30 - The Riv - Chicago, IL

Yea, you could tell they were kinda done at that point.

Good show though. Things hit a bit of a stalemate after 3x, but it happens.

They were done at Booth. They really cut back on the covers tonight, huh?

Ben has done a great job this 2nd set. It makes we wonder what the idea was behind the Portnoy set other than KB selling him a UM T-shirt

12/30 ALWAYS delivers. Always. Somehow.

No love for that August encore? Thought they put forth some gorgeous, if brief, improv there. LOL at the Ben transitions but he did a very nice job tonight and Rory absolutely killed set 1. Feels good to enjoy a show this much.

It was a cool cover set.

I know I’m just an asshole but I couldn’t stop thinking about it last night.

Well, that was fun! Got a nice hit of that feeling we have leaving a good show after set 1 that’s for sure. Rory got me jacked. Putting this one up there with Canopy for one of best streams I’ve caught. Catch y’all tomorrow!

I’m too lazy to look, but what was the newest original UM song played over the last two nights?

Like the McD’s commercial, “I’m lovin’ it”.

Just scanned both nights and looks like Booth Love is the newest original they played and that debuted in Baltimore 2.14.10…

Our crew wouldn’t have even bothered attending if it wasn’t for Portnoy. I know we weren’t the only ones. Saw lots of Dream Theater shirts last night.

Congratulations

I think he looks like old school Neil Peart.
