It sounds like the drummer was counting off PtP at a more normal tempo, but then Jake’s accidental delay effect right at the start of the song fucked him up
This pig is borderline unlistenable. Tempo is all over the place and the groove is all wrong
100% Jake on the botched start. He quickly ran to his board to fix it and shook his head. Corey’s count was on point.
Call me crazy but Corey’s stretch was my favorite part of the first set. Well, really Slacker, cover/Pig, and PS w/ Ben. I’ve got a ton of nerdy shit to say about that set but I’ll spare y’all.
I think I’m judging it with a completely differently lens and appreciate the uniqueness of it all. It’s kinda like that time Kris got the band to put the slop, drag on a version of Wormbog a long time ago (07?). Maybe not objectively the best in most people’s eyes but gimme that shit from time to time. I’ve seen too many standard ass Pigs. I’ll take Corey’s. I honestly think the jam is quite good as well.
You’re crazy

Listened to this show on Sunday. My first 4 night run
Hell yeah! Good run for '09. Only reason I knew to check this shit out at the time is cause KBMG posted a blurb about it on that blog.
Pure Saturation jam is glorious, have not heard them crush a soaring/uplifting jam like that in a minute. There are some nicely executed modulations in there that really take it to the next level. And that’s just the first half of the jam.
Strides thru Den is also absurdly good shit. Strides gets way out there almost into some noodly Dead territory for a bit toward the end of the jam.
I missed a Farkle session? Faaaaaack I love that game
You farkled up
Jeez this is horrible. Don’t think he’s ever heard that song before. This is all I’ve listened to from the Goose guy. He sucks
That’s not the goose guy.
It is to me
ur the goose
Right, @ass is the Goose guy
I actually think the Summercamp Pure Saturation is superior to this but in a similar soaring/uplifting vein. This is pretty great though too. And then we have that 20-minute version from Montana last year - Pure Sat’s definitely produced some great ones already.
You thinking of the Escape Goat? Pure Sat was SLC and about 15 min (though still pretty great)
No, I was thinking of the Pure Sat, I just confused the length of that and the Goat But both are fantastic jams.
The fact this only got 4 likes is borderline disrespectful. Comedic genius. HOF creation in my book. Well done.
