But it’s not

I’m not gonna fluff until I relisten. Obvs not SqFt but the 2nd set was pretty relentless.

But it’s not

I’m indifferent on Staircase but last two versions I’ve seen have been great. All my friends have no idea what it is and loved it

From perspective of a complete show, this may well be a top 5 or 10 for me. Segues were there, very little in the way of “aborted” jams, if at all. It feels like the expanded on pretty much (not all) everything they played. As @Andrusy stated, no JOTY. But just a very solid and complete show. The crowd and venue were perfect.

Tonight makes me want to listen to them again, particularly this show. It looked like they were enjoying themselves…

Enough to think Jake was like “hmm…im in GR again let me tease some riffs from when we played here in 2010”

Fair enough, probably just familiar riffs he plays all the time. I thought for a moment it was going to be a repeated stew.

None, but goodness I fluffed the show pretty damn hard last night.

Show was pretty fun, I thought Set 2 was really great - Staircase and Plunger my highlights. Venue was beautiful as well, definitely need to get back there again

The Kitchen jam was pretty crunchy at the beginning, wish they would’ve stuck with that heavy theme a little longer.

@LarrySellers wish I would’ve known you were in attendance dude!

@flyfishmich thanks again for grabbing the tickets and nice meeting you!

I hear ya on this the only reason I preferred the N2F is because my pops was with me at the show and on the drive up he said he would like to hear it.

Plunger and IDM are pretty dope. I recognize a repeated riff in 40’s.

Love the Plunger, that’s all I’ve heard so far

Alex’s House seems reworked from years past. Love it.

Jake with Star Wars imperial March tease in junk

Overall kind of meh. Plunger best probably. Kitchen/junk had potential but both short as hell (kitchen was finished)

Serviceable show.

It was Bayliss during the solo exchange with Joel.

Eh, I liked this show quite a bit. I certainly think it’s a better “complete show” than Buffalo even though Buffalo Wallets dwarfs anything here. My favorite jams were the Kitchen and IDM. Not used to Kitchen getting that heavy, and that great riff in the A section was balanced with Bayliss building the uplifting B section well. IDM stew was likely composed, but I definitely wasn’t expecting a slow funk jam out of fast IDM, it had a nice build to it, and the segue into Staircase was butter.

This “improv out of Staircase” thing really has potential. I don’t love the one from this show because they rushed it way too much, but they all locked in nicely for a couple minutes before that point. Sometime in the not too distant future we’re going to get an outstanding 15+ minute version of this.
